Exemplars is different.
Instead of teaching students to just find the right answer, we help them work collaboratively to improve their problem-solving and math communication skills, providing a solid foundation not only for math, but for creativity and critical thinking as a whole! 
Typically, students apply their skills by working on math problems that are either DOK1 (e.g., computations) or DOK2-level (e.g., word problems) tasks. Exemplars tasks are DOK3-level tasks, which enables students to go deeper. On top of that, students learn how to craft written solutions that further strengthen conceptual understanding, procedural skills, and math literacy...all of which leads to learning that lasts.
We provide teachers and students with instructional resources, assessment tools, and professional learning so that students can build and strengthen that three-legged stool of math proficiency…and to do it in a way that brings math classrooms to life.
