When should I arrive?

  • Check-in is in the Lobby (1st floor) and begins at 7:00 AM
  • Arriving between 7:00 AM and 7:50 AM, but earlier is better.
  • The Conference welcome session begins at 8:00 AM in the ballroom.
  • Breakfast will be served in the ballroom shortly after registration opens, and will end at 8:30 when the keynote begins.
  • Unlike last year, coffee and tea will not be available all day.

Where do I park?

  • Be sure to validate your parking outside the Chapel room before leaving the conference!

What are the conference strands about?
  • Deep Mathematical Understanding - These sessions focus on specific mathematical standards, topics, models, and progressions and seek to deepen our understanding of them.
  • Equitable Instruction - Presentations in this strand focus on pedagogical techniques that can be used across different grade levels and units of study.
  • Building Thinking Classrooms - While presentations in this strand also support equitable instruction, they follow or expand on the instructional model explained by Peter Liljedahl in the book Building Thinking Classrooms.
  • Centering Marginalized Students - Sessions in this strand seek to center the experiences of students who have been marginalized by traditional schooling and support them in achieving equitable outcomes.
  • Coaching and Coordinating - These sessions focus on supporting students and teachers from outside the classroom. This may include opportunities to learn about supporting teachers through coaching; creating department, school, or district-wide systems and structures; and coordinating with other stakeholders including parents, community members, colleges, and universities.
  • Math & Literacy - These sessions stand at the intersection of math and literacy, including speaking, listening, reading, writing, and vocabulary. Sessions in this strand may also address English Language Learners.
  • Responsible Technology - These sessions aim to promote the responsible use of technology, from virtual manipulatives to lesson delivery to assessment to artificial intelligence.
  • Sponsored Session - These sessions are affiliated with one of our sponsors may include demonstrations of products and services.
